I have been practicing law in the Waltham, Massachusetts area for over twenty years, serving clients throughout Greater Boston and Eastern Massachusetts.

During this time I have developed extensive experience in representing property owners before local zoning and municipal bodies, seeking various forms of zoning and regulating relief. I also have extensive courtroom and trial experience in all areas of civil litigation. My trial experience has had an emphasis on employment related issues, landlord/tenant litigation, and real estate and/or land use litigation.

Zoning, Planning and Land Use: I have acted as local counsel for many real estate developers and commercial or residential property owners before the Waltham City Council, the City of Waltham Zoning Board of Appeals, the Waltham Conservation Commission, the Waltham Historical Commission, Waltham License Commission, and other municipal boards in the City of Waltham as well as other local municipalities. Before these municipal boards I have successfully petitioned for special permits to increase density, variances for dimensional violations of the Zoning Ordinance, special permits to expand or alter non-conforming uses or buildings, Order of Conditions, and other types of relief from zoning bylaws, the General Laws, or other municipal or state regulations.

As local counsel for real estate developers and/or landowners, I have also litigated certain disputes or appeals arising in the development process in the Land Court, and Middlesex Superior Court.

Landlord/Tenant: I presently represent the local housing authority and have prosecuted many residential evictions and commercial evictions in all courts throughout Greater Boston and Eastern Massachusetts. My experience includes appeals of evictions to the appellate Division of the District Court, and the Court of Appeals.

Employment Law: Over the past several years I have litigated many cases involving commissions and nonpayment of wage claims under the Massachusetts General Laws. These disputes have been litigated in the Business Litigation Session in Suffolk County as well as in the District and Superior Courts of Eastern Massachusetts.

Nonpayment of wages claims are pursued as a private rights of action which will include the payment of legal fees if successful.

Commercial/Residential Real Estate: In addition to my representation before municipal boards and trial practice, I have extensive experience in reviewing and drafting Offers to Purchase, and Purchase and Sale Agreements in both commercial and residential real estate.

My experience includes the representation of lending institutions for commercial and residential closings, including the review of title and all loan documents, and the preparation of title insurance.

Regardless of your issue, the focus of my law practice is to give you results. In seeking results, I realize that legal services must be cost effective to the client to justify the result.

My approach is straightforward and practical.
